ASSOCIATE OF APPLIED SCIENCE IN MASSAGE THERAPY - DISTANCE EDUCATION
6 SEMESTERS—68 Credit Hours
EXCEEDS 1000 CLOCK HOURS

The program features a variety of classes of varying levels including but not limited to:

Anatomy & Physiology	General Psychology
Social Psychology	Neuromuscular Therapy
Myofascial Release Massage	Clinical Labs
Spa Lab	Literature I & II
Ethics	Oral/Written Communications

OBJECTIVES

Prepare students for the State Medical Board of Ohio Licensing Examination and/or for the National Certification Licensing Examination.
Prepare Licensed Massage Therapists for advanced education towards an Associate of Applied Science in Massage Therapy - Distance Education.
Prepare students to perform massage procedures competently and safely within the scope of Massotherapy with an advanced level of awareness of the physiological, psychological, and ethical aspects associated with massotherapy; in addition to have the skills necessary to manage a private practice and/or work in a supervised setting.
Prepare students to utilize the most highly developed principles of massage to bring relief from suffering, encourage healing, and maintain optimum health in the body.
